New Zealand born award-winning filmmaker Alastair Cole layers breathtaking footage of modern island life. Archive sound recordings of voices, stories and songs from the mid-20th century are woven together with an original folk score by Aidan O'Rourke. The result is a poetic dialogue between past and present, reflecting on a culture and language fighting to survive in the globalised world.
