- In the snowbound border town of Tacheng, Xinjiang, three strangers carrying the weight of absent loved ones cross paths one winter. Ivan (Nadier Fatih), a Russian-Chinese photographer, returns home after years away, estranged from his family. Xiao Yu, a young Han woman in her twenties, searches tirelessly for her missing father. Refat, a reclusive Tatar hotelier in his fifties, silently mourns a lost daughter. Trapped together in a remote inn by a blizzard, the three wanderers keep one another company through the long winter — listening, healing, and each in turn finding a way home. A poetic, multi-ethnic portrait of grief, belonging and quiet human connection.
