- Synopsis
- Set in a Punjabi village, two families are divided by ego, education and the language they speak. Driven by comparison, Rupinder Kaur brings home an English-speaking daughter-in-law, Gagan, to prove her family's status. But Gagan is hiding a truth. She does not know a word of English. As the lie grows heavier, the pretending starts to crack the very relationships it was meant to impress, building to an emotional reckoning about who they really are.
